Due to the rapidly increasing number of businesses opening up after May 1, 2020, and the limitations of our temporarily under-staffed office, we suggest that you assume most Moab businesses will be open in some capacity this month.  Check with individual businesses for their latest information. Check back here soon for more updates!

Southeast Utah Health Department Recommended Protocols for All Businesses

General Protocols for All Businesses. Effective immediately, all commercial establishments shall comply with the following regulations:

  • Implement social distancing (six feet) measures in communal areas of the establishment.

  • Staff who have to take cash or credit cards are encouraged to use cleansing measures, including best practices issued by the CDC, between transactions. Cash transactions are discouraged, but not prohibited.

  • Management must ensure, on a daily basis, that no employee who presents symptoms of illness will be permitted to work.

  • Members, guests, patrons, or customers who present symptoms of illness shall be excluded from the establishment.

  • Management shall post signage approved by the CDC which advises patrons of COVID-19 protocols.

We care about you! We are asking everyone to follow the President’s guidelines:

  • Avoid social gatherings in groups of more than 10 people

  • Use drive-thru, pickup, or delivery options for restaurants

  • Avoid discretionary travel, shopping trips, and social visits

  • Listen and follow the directions of your state and local authorities

  • If you feel sick, stay at home. Do not go to work, Contact your medical provider

  • Avoid touching your face

  • Sneeze or cough into a tissue, or the inside of your elbow

  • Disinfect frequently used items and surfaces as much as possible
