An updated health order was released on May 1, 2020 with guidelines for partial reopening of certain Moab businesses. The new guidelines (May 1, 2020) include:

Hotels, Motels, Bed & Breakfasts, Hostels
Reservations allowed with occupancy limitations based on the size of the facility. Occupancy permissible with a 24-Hour Rest Period prior to cleaning and between check-ins. When possible, rooms should remain vacant for 48 hours after check-out and prior to cleaning.

Commercial Campgrounds, Recreational Vehicle (RV) Parks
Permissible occupancy for RV and tent sites is 50% capacity and 30% for cabins (with a 24 hour rest period.)

Short-term rentals (e.g. condos, nightly rentals, “AirBnB,” “VRBO,” etc.)
Permissible occupancy is 100% capacity, with a 24-Hour Rest Period. When possible, rooms should remain vacant for 48 hours after check-out and prior to cleaning.

Again, reports will be investigated prior to enforcement to verify non-compliance.

 

The Moab Area Travel Council will investigate the complaint and respond to you once the information has been obtained. 

 

Also, ongoing compliance with all other City and County land use regulations governing overnight accommodations is still expected.
